Small businesses are a vital part of the plans for downtown revitalization in Columbus, OH.
"Downtown office vacancy rates were at record highs, storefronts stood vacant, and Mayor Coleman was beating the drum for a livelier Downtown...n the 20 months beginning January 2000, the Downtown Development Office approved 58 renovation projects totaling 887,000 square feet and 40 new buildings with 4 million square feet. Nearly 30 of the projects were buildings of less that 10,000 square feet...small buildings are an essential part of the city's big plans for Downtown."
