Urban Sprawl In London

London is spreading out and critics say large-scale construction is being motivated by profit without creating an imaginative master plan.
"But with construction of a new Channel Tunnel Rail Link international station between the two towns at Ebbsfleet, north Kent is undergoing a transformation...Such large-scale construction is intended to turn the area into a thriving location, reversing years of high unemployment and population decline... But critics say that an opportunity has been missed to encourage truly eye-catching and imaginative development at this strategically important site."
