New construction technology is changing Tokyo's skyline.
Developers, emboldened by earthquake resistant technology, are building higher and transforming a skyline long dominated by low-rise five- to 10-storey buildings... The bulk of the vacancies in the next two to three years are expected in Tokyo's older post-war generation office buildings, many of which may ultimately be torn down, as companies file into sleek new office blocks with better infrastructure."
