PA Rejects Call To Delay Sale Of Gas Drilling Rights

Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resource rejected a call by environmental groups to delay sale of gas drilling rights.
"The Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources has rejected requests by environmental groups to delay the auction of drilling rights to natural gas deposits under 500,000 acres of state forest and park lands. The auction of mineral rights to the 400 million year old geologic formations would encompass an area scattered throughout 7 state forests."
