AAA Faces Criticism Over Lobbying Efforts

Some environmentalists criticize the American Automobile Association for supporting policies that favor the automobile and road-paving industries.
"What some AAA members may not know is their membership dollars fund AAA lobby efforts in Washington, D.C., pushing policies that some environmentalists criticize as favoring major car manufacturers and road-paving companies with vested interests in getting more cars on more roads...AAA is also a massive force in the tourism industry...By D.C. standards, AAA is not a heavyweight lobbyist..."
