Residents Of Florida County Demand Growth Be Slowed

Angry Hernando County residents told County Commissioners to rethink their priorities about sprawling growth, and want development rules to be tightened.
"Residents angry about proposed new construction throughtout the county berated commissioners on April 9 for seeming to listen to developers instead of constituients while planning for growth. They urged the board to rethink priorities driving development, and to act quickly before unwanted projects such as the Wal-Mart Supercenter headed for Spring Hill and affordable apartment complexes slated to rise near several subdivisions take hold."
