Pittsburgh Seeks Proposals To Revitalize Downtown

Pittsburgh Mayor Tom Murphy said he hopes to hire at least one developer to work on the City's "Plan C" to breathe new life into the dowdy Downtown Pittsburgh shopping district. [Link corrected]
The City's current approach -- expected to cost $363 million -- will enable several developers to work at the same time on different parts of the plan, is based on a task force study, and includes new shops, restaurants, entertainment sites, offices, housing and a hotel.
