Mortage Program Favors Public Transit

Pittsburgh home buyers purchasing property near mass transit stations will be eligible to borrow more money under a new test program by Fannie Mae.
"Fannie Mae is testing a program that will enable Pittsburgh home buyers to borrow more money if they purchase property near bus or Rapid Transit System stations.The Smart Commute Initiative is based on the idea that public transit frees up money."
