Kunstler Criticizes Modern U.S. Architecture and Planning

In a speech at Virginia Tech, New Urbanism advocate James Kunstler strongly criticized modern U.S. architecture and planning.
"A national crusader against sprawl spared no one in his railings against modern architectural and planning communities Wednesday night - not even the host university and the departments that invited him to speak...Modern American cities also lack the public space - parks, gathering points or even pedestrian-friendly downtowns with shops and restaurants - that helped define a community, he said."
