Nostalgia-flavored Shopping Centers

A new "Main street" retail center in suburban Houston is part of a trend toward "nostalgia-flavored" centers.
"Developers are creating the Main Street-style centers in suburban areas that have never really had much of a downtown or urban core, such as The Woodlands. 'You are talking about going back in time to a simpler way of life,' Hernandez said. 'It's taking the old Main Street and making it better.'"
