Greensboro's Regional Progress

A new high-speed rail corridor lays a template for a network of rail lines from Washington to Charlotte.
"It may sound like science fiction, but it isn't. Greensboro, High Point and Winston-Salem all were designated Thursday as stops on the Southeast High Speed Rail Corridor. The corridor lays a template for a network of fast, efficient rail lines from Washington to Charlotte... The reinvented Southern Railway station will exist soon. Work is proceeding on the building in downtown Greensboro, which construction crews are transforming into a transportation center for bus, taxi and train service. Similar renovations have begun in the historic downtown depot in High Point."
