10 Cities Most at Risk From Natural Disasters

Natural disasters affect millions of people each year, and cost between $60 billion and $100 billion worldwide. Here are the 10 global cities most at risk.

"Insurance firm Swiss Re has an answer in its report Mind the Risk, published this month. The firm studied 616 metropolitan areas at risk of five types of natural disasters -- earthquakes, floods, storms, storm surges, and tsunamis..."

Using the data from Mind the Risk, Future Cities assembled a list of the 10 most vulnerable cities, breaking down the details of which cities are at risk from which natural disaster, and how many people in each area would be affected.
