New Mexico's Las Maravillas is an example of everything that is wrong with the way Americans plan communities.
"What price are New Mexicans willing to pay to live the American dream of brick homes and giant walk-in closets? ... The stop signs at the entrance to the community are also scarred from"friendly fire," one so swiss-cheesed that you can't make out the word "STOP." And, lest you begin to doubt for even a moment thatthis is the prettiest ghetto in the state, taped to one of the stop signs is a hand-written note, reading, "Found: Pitbull" with a phone number. "
