Rural Advocates Winning Sprawl Debate

Recent decisions in Seminole County, FL., favor rural advocates determined to protect rural areas from urban sprawl.
"The Central Florida GreeneWay, which splits the lake, now brings the constant hum of traffic to the hammock. Dozens of housing developments built since 1990 have clogged surrounding roads with commuters...The fight to preserve rural east Seminole County has gone on for years, and it promises to continue through this decade."
