Michigan's Failure To Wetlands
10 March 2002 - 7:00am

"The battle between environmentalists and the state over the Inkster site has been part of a larger fight over wetlands in Michigan. In the past decade, the state has become increasingly likely to allow development of wetlands. In 1990, the state rejected almost one of every five requests to fill in wetland sites, compared with about one of every 12 in 2000, according to state figures."
