Just What Is America?

The new U.S. Statistical Abstract does a remarkably good job of answering the question: Just what is America?
"We are a nation where the East Coast runs everything, but nobody wants to live there. In the past few years, huge numbers of people left that region for the greater freedoms of the South and the West. Funny, but the most liberal section of our country always has the fewest people moving to it. Go figure... This despite the fact that most of our foreign tourists still view us as one great big theme park--the most popular states they visit are California and Florida."
