Slow-Growth Side Narrowly Carries Election Day

Slow-growth advocates in California were victorious in eight of fourteen local ballot measure elections on March 5.

While the slow-growth forces won more often than they lost in Tuesday's election, development advocates won elections in some long-time strongholds of slow growth. Election day was a mixed bag for big-box retail stores, which fared poorly in wealthy cities.
