Logan Jenkins says "smart growth" is actually "old growth."
"Five years ago, 'smart growth' was a catch phrase in search of a school of thought. Today, smart growth rocks our urban world view.Smart growth captures the imagination for one simple reason: It's really 'old growth' re-interpreted for the 21st century...Of course, the natural enemy of both regionalism and smart growth is rampant sprawl, the pollution-breathing dragon at the city's edge."
