Florida's Brownfields Program Is Ineffective

State auditors report claims that of the 67,000 acres of brownfields in Florida, only 15 acres have been cleaned up.
"Local governments have designated nearly 67,000 acres statewide as needing state help, but auditors found that only two sites totaling 15 acres have been cleaned up and redeveloped since the program started five years ago."
