New Taxes, Tax Credits Proposed To Help NJ Cities

The Fund for New Jersey's 35-page report could be a blueprint for Gov. James E. McGreevey
The report, "Building Our Cities," suggests that new hotel and entertainment taxes, taxes from developments in neighboring communities and tax credits to entice new business could be used to revive ailing cities and suburban areas. The report also recommends merging the state's economic development and urban revitalization agencies.
