3 February 2002 - 5:00am
Broward County, FL., is losing the battle over the last remaining pristine green space.
"About 800 of the 1400 acres available when the County promoted the bond issue in 2000 have been lost to development, including Cypress Swamps, scrubland and slash pine flatwoods. Fewer than 170 acres have been saved, ata cost of $30 million."
