Africa.com's list, which is based on such factors as availability of goods and services, quality of
infrastructure, and overall security, features a number of cities you've likely heard of, or visited, including Cape Town and Nairobi. Other cities making the list, such as Windhoek, "the political, cultural, social, and economic capital" of Namibia, and Libreville, Gabon, "a very stylish city that boasts a grand boulevard with beautiful architecture and monuments," may have flown beneath the radar of western readers.
