Broward Residents: County Has Had Enough Growth

Residents of Broward County, FL, voice their opinions about new development in the county.

"The Miami Herald's weeklong portrait of Broward County's growing pains struck a nerve with readers, several dozen of whom shared an almost universal view: nothing is to be gained from more development. Their reasoning: unchecked growth can only add to the stress on overtaxed schools and roads, upset the ecosystem and gobble up open space that drew them in the first place. 'To maintain the quality of life in Broward County, we must come to the realization that any new growth is bad growth,' wrote Craig Steinberg."
