Apparently Forbes magazine has decided to become the arbiter of the coolest and hippest places in America. Recently we informed you that Houston topped their list of America's "coolest" cities, now the magazine is back with rankings of the best hipster neighborhoods in America. Forbes' analysis includes factors such as walkability, the number of neighborhood coffee shops per capita, the assortment of local food trucks, the number and frequency of farmers markets, and the percentage of residents who work in artistic occupations.

With "some of the nation's most lauded food trucks and farmer's markets, a booming arts scene and one of the largest creative class communities in the country," Silver Lake comes out on top. The Mission district in San Francisco and Williamsburg in Brooklyn, rounded out the top three. Of note: the Lower Westheimer neighborhood of America's coolest city - Houston - managed to sneak in at number 20.
