24 December 2001 - 8:00am
A Palatine, Illinois developer finds that the transit based development model can be easily replicated along the Metra tracks.
"After redeveloping a wide swath of Arlington Heights over the past two years, Joseph Freed & Associates LLC is taking its "transit-based development" model a few stops up the Metra tracks to Palatine.... Carteaux Jewelers opened downtown earlier this month and "we're talking to other development teams who are interested in sites now in our downtown," he says." (Free registration required.)
