A city with 14 million people is bound to suffer from bad traffic and air quality, and Tehran, Iran is no exception. However, Elyana Javaheri believes that improvement have been made toward the city's livability. She attributes the following four achievements to current mayor, Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf:
1. Increasing the amount of green space
2. Increased use of public transport
3. Reduced amount of road accidents
4. Less incorrect parking
