Severe Forest Fires Linked To Logging

A study published in the journal Nature confirms links between logging and severe forest fires.

"The study confirms earlier suspicions that logging waste and dense undergrowth of fast-growing pioneer species provide large amounts of fuel that feeds the rampant spread of forest fires... Conservation groups have long been clamoring for a change in government policies regarding land conversion and logging in the tropical rain forests."
