A Recipe For New Urbanism

New Urbanism is coming of age.

"Reduce the idea to a formula and it's as simple as this: Put the front porch just a few feet from the sidewalk and build the garage behind the house. Throw in a bustling Main Street teeming with mom-and-pop businesses just blocks away from houses of all shapes and sizes. Round out the mix with schools, churches and maybe a health clinic.Planners call it New Urbanism."
