Central Florida's New Suburbanism?

Supporters and critics are watching the development of Avalon Park, a traditional neighborhood development on the outskirts of Orlando, FL.
Called "the poor man's Celebration" by some early residents, Avalon Park is one of the nation's newest New Urbanist developments. Critics fault the developments location on the urban fringe, but residents praise the developer's efforts to create an vibrant community as an alternative to sense of isolation bred by decades of urban sprawl.
