Planners' WTC Input Slammed As 'Idiotic' and 'Insulting'

A recent New York Post op-ed piece blasted the interference of planners in the discussion regarding redevelopment of the destroyed World Trade Center site in lower Manhattan.
A finanial editor who works near the former WTC site cautions that "an energized breed of urban planners and architectural critics has descended upon the wreckage of the World Trade Center to force upon us their visions of the future. ... We mustn't let an eager crew of ex-city officials and civic-minded morons rewrite the history of the Trade Center or 'improve' upon its alleged flaws."
