Residents of Charlotte, N.C. discuss growth issues with candidates for city council.
"Answers from candidates at the 90-minute forum sponsored by the Derita-Statesville Road Community Organization didn't always seem to satisfy listeners.Several candidates said they support so-called "smart growth" principles, which promote developments with a mix of retail, housing and office land uses."
