Economy Stimulus Package Should Include Transportation

Lawrence Mishel advocates that a government stimulus package aimed at helping the slowing economy should include investments in transportation.
"Putting money into Amtrak, which needs $4 billion in capital investments, would make high-speed rail an alternative to air travel. We also must improve the infrastructure for intercity bus transportation."
