Western Australia's Capital Envisions its Transformation

Recently released Capital City Planning Framework for Perth outlines a mixed-use city that is both livable and welcoming to outsiders.

Reporter David Wheeldon spoke to Planning Minister John Day about the transition Perth was going through:

"In the past, the city has primarily been seen as a business-focused centre, but we need to move on from that way of thinking and embrace the idea that our city should be enjoyed for a wide range of purposes - including various forms of living, working and recreation."
