Philadelphia's Dueling Blight Plans

Reaction to the Daily News alternative blight plan has been heated, especially from City Hall.
The City Hall insists that blight planning is "complex". The Mayor's staff imply that "complex" and "simple" are an either-or proposition. Wrong. Complex and simple are two ways of describing the same thing. If all you can do is repeatedly describe something as complex, then you probably don?t understand it yourself. Either that or you?re telling your audience that you think they?re too stupid to understand the issue. You're putting on the priestly vestments of "expertise" and waving "complexity" in front of people like it was a voodoo doll.
