Artists' Housing Can Revive Downtowns

Projects to provide artists housing in downtown areas can revive troubled downtowns.
Growing enthusiasm about the reuse of neglected and abandoned buildings across the country has been providing opportunities for such properties to be turned over to artists as live-work space, financed by a patchwork of public, corporate and private money. Such ventures are seen as contributing to the revival of troubled downtown districts."
