Kansas City Improves Its Downtown

Lofts, trails and other improvements will tie downtown together.
Mayor Kay Barnes announced private-sector plans for 427 new apartments, a major step towards a two-year goal of providing 1,000 new downtown units. Pedestrian improvements will also enhance the area, building upon a growing civic concensus that the City center can reestablish itself as a viable neighborhood.
