Memphis stadium energizes the city's downtown into a dramatic turnaround after three decades.
What draws them is the stadium, a new park that in detailing and comfort rivals anything in the majors, and exceeds them in intimacy. And to the amazement of native Memphians, they are also drawn by the renewed promise of downtown, an empty shell for nearly three decades that is becoming one of the most energetic downtowns in the country... Like many other cities in the last decade, Memphis is also experiencing a resurgence in downtown housing, with more than 9,000 people living near the central business district -- more than St. Louis or Denver, though shy of Atlanta and Seattle."
