Visualizing New Orleans' Shifting Population
17 June 2010 - 5:00am
A new infographic from GOOD tracks population shifts in New Orleans, giving a visual representation of the changes underway in the troubled city.
"Mason Phillips's infographic on the population shifts in New Orleans is brilliantly designed, and the information truly elucidates an understanding of what has happened to the population of New Orleans since the storm. We're quite into his neighborhood map, as his chart of the differences in income from 2005 to the present."
The map also shows which parts of town have recovered the most since Hurricane Katrina, and which areas are still heavily impacted by the 2005 hurricane and flooding.
