A San Francisco botanist finally gets her due after 50 years of research in Golden Gate Park.
This article profiles horticulturist Elizabeth McClintock, whobegan the first plant records system for Golden Gate Park's StrybingArboretum almost 50 years ago. Her research and documentation isdescribed as invaluable, given the immense diversity of plant life inthe urban park. McClintock's research has been gathered into a new book,the proceeds of which will benefit management and restoration in thepark.
