Chicago Airport Expansion Plan Needs More Funds

Chicago's $6 billion expansion plan for O'Hare airport will require an additional $2.8 billion for transportation improvements.
"Besides extending the Blue Line L from the O'Hare area to Schaumburg and providing long-sought western access to O'Hare, the mayor [of Chicago] also is backing CTA express-train service between O'Hare and Midway airports, with a Loop terminal where travelers could check their bags. That plan would cost between $200 million and $400 million, a city transportation source has said."
