Pianos in Public Places

A public art piece titled "Play Me, I'm Yours" entails putting pianos in public spaces around Manhattan (27 in all) for anyone to sit down and bang out a tune.

The Village Voice blog says, "This ... is a pretty wonderful idea. New Yorkers are a talented bunch! Think of all the impromptu cabaret sessions that could come out of this!"

"Play Me, I'm Yours" appeared with great success in Birmingham, England; São Paolo, Brazil; and Sydney, Australia.
