Raleigh Untangles Three Rail Lines

The City of Raleigh, NC is proposing to fix a messy knot of three rail lines with a new transit center that will connect the rail with local bus transit and other modes.

The new station would relocate Raleigh's small and busy Amtrak station and provide platforms for Greyhound and other bus companies along with taxis.

"This will be as significant as RDU Airport - right in our downtown," Mitchell Silver, the city planning director, said in an interview [with the News Observer].
