Steven Litt reflects on a small bit of urban design that works in Mariemont, Ohio.

Litt writes, "You might think that a passageway to a parking lot would be a dull space filled with wadded-up newspapers, puddles and a lonely ATM. Wrong. In Mariemont, the passage to the parking lot is a social ground zero. A place to hang out, to see and be seen. It pulses with life. "
