Advice for an Aspiring Planner

So, here I am - 40 years old and hating what I do (corporate/contract law paralegal). I've pretty much had it with my career, but am unsure if I should take the leap. It's a scary thing. But between the mediocre pay and less than inspiring work, I'm just about ready to make the change. I figure I've got at least 20 years of working to do, so what do I want to be doing in say 5, 10, 20 years? But that change - more than likely - means grad school. I've always had a strong interest in planning and feel that it would be a good fit for me. They say to be successful, passion is a must. Got that, and think my skill set aligns as well. According to BLS projections, this job market will grow at an above average rate through like 2016. So anyway, just looking to get any advice related to this. What should I consider? What should I be aware/beware of? Etc, etc. Thanks for taking the time in advance!!
