Developer Works To Save Trees

A commercial property developer is making an effort to save a few dozen trees from road building crews in Central Florida.
"Most jurisdictions require developers to replace trees that are removed during construction. Local governments in the road-building business should at least try to do the same", says Robert Kingsland, a developer in Orlando, FL, who after asking the county for a three week postponement of construction, is saving a few dozen oak trees from being bulldozed. County officials say that if not for Kingsland's request, the trees would have been destroyed. "To just destroy them would be sinful," said Kingsland.
