Take The A Train To The Airport
14 June 2001 - 10:00am
Officials in Milwaukee want to build an Amtrak station in the Mitchell International Airport, as part of a plan to create a network between various modes of transportation in the state.
"Mitchell International Airport could house an Amtrak station by the end of 2003, creating a network between various modes of transportation, Gov. Scott McCallum announced. State officials will spend $100,000 to start designing what he called Monday the "future of Wisconsin's top-notch transportation system," creating a seamless connection between airlines, railroads, public transit systems, highways and bicycle paths."
