Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (DPH) Request for Proposals

Funding for obesity prevention through policy and environmental change. This RFP solicits proposals from cities, community-based organizations, and school districts in Los Angeles County.

On or about November 19, 2009, the LA County DPH will release a RFP. Funded agencies and their required partners will pursue policy, systems, and environmental changes to increase opportunities for physical activity and healthy eating. DPH will fund up to eight initiatives at approximately $125,000 per year for two years. Bidders conference will be at 1:30 pm on November 23, 2009. Proposals due by 5 pm on December 21, 2009. Funding decision notification on or about February 27, 2010.

Once released, the RFP may be downloaded at: www.publichealth.lacounty.gov/chronic. Funding for this RFP is contingent upon DPH receiving grant funding from the federal government.
