Vancouver Reevaluating its Skyline

In a series of open houses to debate whether its building height restrictions should be changed, former Vancouver city planner Larry Beasley debated with architect Richard Henriquez.

"'It's fair to say in general that the public input has reconfirmed the importance of public views to our livability and sense of place as a city,' said Brent Toderian, director of planning with the City of Vancouver, who also presented at the event."

getting height variances is a piece of cake here

Developers shouldn't be discouraged if they can't get the height variances they want in Vancouver as they can always come to Kelowna where getting approvals for skyscrapers from the morons on city council is easier than taking candy from a baby.
