Supreme Court Rules On Houston Redistricting

At issue was a 1997 plan that created a large, primarily white district, while leaving several minority districts intact.
"The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday declined to consider a challenge to Houston's 1997 redistricting plan by voters who argued that white districts' power in at-large City Council races had been illegally diluted."
