Tenure position available August 20, 2010, teaching grad and undergrad courses in urban planning.
Tenure-track position available August 20, 2010. Major responsibilities: teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of planning studios (physical, comprehensive, and urban design), first-year common curriculum (environmental design), environmental planning, land use planning, methods (including GIS), and other courses within the faculty member’s areas of expertise. Minimum qualifications: master’s degree or higher in planning or a closely related field; university teaching experience with undergraduate students, part or full time. Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in planning; studio teaching experience; professional practice. Excellent benefits, including retiree health care and 100% pension contribution for eligible employees.
The department has accredited graduate and undergraduate degrees in planning. In addition, there are 9 faculty members with about 60 undergraduate and 40 graduate students. Moreover, the department prides itself as being an immersive teaching environment.
